In the absence of any significant media coverage, and any substantial student support, was this really a suitable way of spending the student funds that the NUS themselves claims are becoming sparser and sparser?
Let’s get one thing clear, faith-schools are unacceptable. Trying to dogmatise education will undoubtedly bring disastrous results to our society and bring it a step away from being secular. As a result, a society where faith, not reason, and discrimination, not acceptance, will prevail. We need a secular education that reflects our secular society. Children deserve better.
As long as future grammar schools help to increase the standards for all children we’ll have a chance to accelerate the learning potential of a whole generation of intelligent yet underestimated children.

We won’t defeat the ideologies of fascism and Islamism through blanket censorship. We defeat these ideas by exposing their fallacies and undermining their arguments through open debate and criticisms. Islamists and their fellow-travellers on the far-Left will attempt to shut down this discussion, but we cannot let this happen.
Categories such as “women”, “LGBT” and “BAME” are not a monolith. Individuals who fall into these categories have opinions as diverse as everybody else.
